Our mission is to empower, educate, and inspire people through the life-changing benefits of movement. At Shift Motion Studio we offer a feel-good, holistic approach to movement that is tailored to everyone’s unique body. We are passionate about finding what movement and body awareness can do for the mind, body, and soul of each of our clients and are dedicated to helping people successfully reach their fitness goals in a supportive, judgement-free environment.

— Our Story

Shift Motion Studio was established in 2020 by Columbus native, dancer and movement enthusiast Kelsey McIntire who discovered Pilates as a form of cross training. Little did she know, she would fall in love with the positive impact of Pilates on her mind and body.

— What is Pilates, and why should I try it? 

Pilates is a holistic movement method created to promote alignment of the mind and body. Grounded in technique, controlled movement sequences, and regulated breath, Pilates encourages ergonomic postural alignment, core strength, and balanced musculature.  Since its creation, Pilates has continued to gain respect from health professionals as a proven method for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sustainable exercise. 

The benefits of practicing Pilates regularly include improved core strength and stability, postural alignment, flexibility and balance, increased endurance, and muscle tone.
